NDC COURSE 17 PARTICIPANTS UNDERTAKE TOUR OF 16 COUNTRIES

NDC Course 17 participants have successfully undertaken the geo-strategic study tour of 16 countries of the world. The tour, which took place from 1-17 May 09, saw participants in 9 teams visiting Congo Brazzaville, Namibia, Benin, Liberia and Cote D’Ivoire. Other counties visited included Sweden, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, UAE, Oman, Trinidad and Tobago, Bangladesh and China.

On returning from the tour, each team made a presentation that looked at the history, tradition and culture of the people of the country visited. The presentations also examined the government, economy, foreign and defence policies of countries visited with particular reference to relations with Nigeria. Basing their presentations on the acronym “SWOTA”, each team’s presentation also discussed the peculiarities of the country visited as well as the role the country plays or aspires to play in its sub region. The presentations also examined the perspectives of the countries visited of the present world order and their prospects for bilateral or multi-lateral cooperation.
