NDC GRADUATES COURSE 17

The National Defence College (NDC) Abuja, Nigeria has graduated
participants of its Course 17. The event which was held at the
College auditorium on Friday August 7, 2009 had the President,
Commander – in – Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic
of Nigeria, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua GCFR, represented by the
Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Adamu
as the Special Guest of Honour.
The President in his address enjoined the graduands to have an
unwavering commitment to professional excellence, and the highest
ideals in the discharge of whatever assignment they may be
confronted with in the future. He congratulated the Commandant and
Staff of the College for keeping the flag of distinction flying,
even higher than they met it.
The graduated Course 17 had a total of 105 Participants. This
comprised of 45 Nigerian Army (NA) officers; 19 Nigerian Navy (NN)
officers; 22 Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officers, 2 Nigeria Police
Force (NPF) officers; 6 Civilians from strategic government
ministries and departments and 11 foreign participants from sister
African countries. The College has so far graduated a total of 1088
participants since its inception.
