FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RELEASES 25% DOWN PAYMENT
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NATIONAL DEFENCE COLLEGE PERMANENT SITE

In line with its commitment to the speedy
completion of National Defence College permanent site at Piwoyi District,
Abuja Federal Government has released 25% down payment to the contractor
handling the first phase of the project, STABILINI VISINONI NIG LTD for the
commencement of work at the first phase of the site.
Presenting the cheques to the representative
of the company, the Commandant of the College, R/Adm AAM Isa tasked the
contractors to execute the project with due diligence, commitment, expertise
and ensure that the highest standard of professionalism is given to the
project.
The representative of the company, while
receiving the cheques, expressed delight at the prompt release of funds for
the project. He promised that construction work would start immediately,
adding that the project will be completed in the life of the Yar’Adua’s
administration.
It would be recalled that the President and
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua GCFR, while laying the foundation stone of the
College’s permanent site, on Friday, 27 July 2007 promised that the site
would be completed in a record time.
